Ordinary Days...
What a happy life I've been living. I have been stressed beyond words, up to my neck in Barbies, diapers, baby toys, and much more. I try so hard every day to remember how blessed I am that God trusts Matt and me with these four girls. It is hard work but what a lucky job we've been assigned to do. Also, I've been reminiscing over past blog posts and kicking myself for not blogging more often. What a great way to document our life right now but I just don't seem to get it done...even though I really love doing it. And while I have promised 548 times that I will get back to blogging more regularly, I have not actually followed through. So in attempt to make yet another attempt I am not going to worry about grammar, exact punctuation, proper photo editing, or even sentence structure. I'm just gonna type it all out and love every minute of it. So here goes...
Now on to real, normal, daily thoughts... ha!
I rearranged the furniture the other day. Just for the heck of it. Why not? It led to some cute photos.
Kate turned NINE years old the other week. She celebrated pretty much the entire weekend. No lie. Friends, family, and school treats made for three days of sugar buzzes and wrapping paper piles.
How lucky are we! A nine year old? She is so great to have around the house. Kate is a little bit crazy and a whole lot of sweet...when she chooses to be. She loves sports, especially soccer. Isn't it obvious looking at these pics from her birthday parties? Kate tears through books, finally has her own room again (and keeps it clean?!?!!?), started playing some organized-ish basketball, and is just all around fantastic.
Here she is celebrating the fact she blew out all her candles in one try. The cake was spread between two parties that's why pieces are missing. Ha!
And lately if we aren't having a family dance party then we are having a family basketball game.
These pictures crack me up!!!
The girls lost against Matt. Technically it was the Nuggets v. Iowa State and the lone Nugget on the team won probably because he cannot stand the idea of losing, even against little girls.
Anyway, on their own they came up with a plan to get themselves into shape so they can beat Dad next time. Here they are doing crunches.
And jumping jacks...
I believe the rematch is planned for this evening. Should be a nail biter, folks! I'll let you know the outcome in the near future. Until then...
