Ordinary Days...

Image
Last week Iowa was blessed with a couple of gorgeous days. We wore a path riding bikes around the block and made the first of many walks to City Park. Unfortunately old man winter has made a brief return so we are back indoors but not for long. Yesterday Kate mentioned we haven't had a warm day in 80 days. I did the math and really it was more like 130ish days. Yeah, this is not completely accurate but it was a rough estimate. The last time I remember being warm was the beginning of November which was four and a half months ago. Kate was blown away by this figure. We have been filling our days with simple indoor activities like.. Cheering Iowa State into the Sweet Sixteen. Going to the drive-in theater. Cutting shapes in boxes and dropping in coins.  (I added a baking sheet under the box so the coins made a loud noise. It was a hit with Natalie who thankfully didn't try to eat any of the money.) Gold medal bracketology...

In full disclosure I have also had some bad years but just ignore that. Whether you follow my path to success with your own bracket or not is your business but I am happy to share my logic. Spread the love. Share the magic. I just need to get these bracket based blog posts into the hands of ESPN and maybe next year I too will be an official bracketologist. SOUTH DIVISION Florida v Albany or MSM: Beards are to Santa as Florida is to me. What's that you ask? A necessity. I love Florida. I need Florida. Well I need southern Florida. The southwest portion actually. Ok, really just the coastal side of southwest Florida. The rest of Florida I don't real

Love times three...

Living as the proud parents of three girls brings joy, laughter and the occasional dollop of drama. But every now and again we catch all three of them having the sweetest of moments... snuggles on the couch  Watching The Voice...yes, that is a mattress in the living room. We were trying to cure winter boredom.  Not the best photo of Kate but you get the idea.  Three girls and a lot of love.
