October Little Things...

Rather than play catch-up, I'm just going to dive right in to where life is at right now.

La Porte City has been reconstructing their Main Street and Wolf Creek Trail. Natalie, Maddie, and I love going for walks along the creek. We, of course, have to stop and pose for various pictures. These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago when you could comfortably go outside in short sleeves. Then again, Natalie can go outside in short sleeves longer than me. I'm too cold...all the time.

We were lucky enough to celebrate our awesome Natalie when she turned 8 on October 7th.

Eight reasons why this girl rocks on her 8th birthday.
1. She is whip-smart.
2. Natalie has a warm, squishy heart for people, animals, and vegetables.
3. She is incredibly creative; she doesn’t buy doll accessories, she makes them.
4. She loves to read, especially Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Junie B. Jones.
5. Natalie has really fallen for sports, including soccer, basketball, softball, and swimming.
6. She looks for ways to help.
7. She is independent and knows what she likes.
8. Natalie is all-around a fantastic person!

Maddie has so much energy...all of the time! Matt and I joke that we have to take her out for walks just like a puppy, otherwise she runs circles in the house - essentially chasing her tail. But she sure is fun!

These pics were from last weekend; our last nice day outside for a long, long while. Or so the forecast says.

We have a pretty great library for a small town. They do a lot for the community and it is hard for them to be interactive during Covid. They hung a Halloween backdrop with props for visitors to snap pics. The girls and I took our masks off (briefly!!!) to have a little Halloween library fun.

My nephews came for a visit a few weeks back...and they brought their dad too. I look incredibly tired here so just focus on sweet baby Casey in my arms.

Beau loved all the attention.

And we loved giving Beau all the attention he wanted...and didn't want.

Photo bomber.

And there you have it! A blog post! :)
