From LPC to NYC...

With a large helping of good fortune and small dash of craziness Matt and I found ourselves in New York City this past weekend. I should also give credit to the ball skills of the Iowa State men's basketball team and the extreme kindness of two sets of grandparents. Without these two vital ingredients our excursion across country could never have been. Yes, Matt and I followed the ISU men's team to Madison Square Garden, the most famous arena in the country. Iowa State lost the game after a near comeback unfortunately but that doesn't mean we sulked around one of the greatest cities in America. We found a way to enjoy ourselves.

Pregame warm-ups...

The gorgeous ceiling of Madison Square Garden.

Oh, and I cannot forget the pep rally before the game. There were so many Cyclone fans in attendance that the fire department was called and we were politely escorted to the streets. It was quite the scene to watch the sea of red take over a couple of streets on Manhattan while the pep band blared their horns. Fun memories... Oh, and CY was looking right at me. If he had real eyes I'm sure he would have winked.

Like every other vacation I did not take enough pictures. I just get wrapped up in the moment's events and forget to pull out the camera.

Central Park selfie...

Endless food such as the infamous Seinfeld black and white cookie while lounging in Central Park. This was the view from our bench.

In case you haven't seen or perhaps don't remember the black and white cookie scene here is your chance...
Thankfully we did NOT get sick from eating it. Racial harmony success.

We visited the MET Opera House (but did not see an opera.)
This isn't the Opera House but it was next door.

Museum of Natural History.
I am fascinated by dinosaurs and outer space.
As immature as it may be my favorite dinosaur has always been the Triceratops or as some call it, Tri-Sarah-Tops.

Of course people watching is always fun in NYC. And sometimes you see shops so strange you don't know what else to do but snap a picture.
Like this place where the front window was full of creepy baby dolls.
We did not go in.

We also ate lots and lots of food at Chelsea Market and various amazingly delicious restaurants, attended a very funny improv show and wandered around the City dreaming of what life would be like to live in the city that never sleeps.

Another NYC trip worth remembering. So many amazing sites with my best bud. Special thanks to my in-laws and my parents for helping out with the girls. Props to the ISU men's team. It was a fun season of basketball. So long NYC. I'm gonna buy you a BFF necklace to share with me. See you next time!
