Wedding bells...

This past Saturday my younger, rowdy, trouble-maker brother got married. Okay, so that is not at all how I view him any more but once upon a time...

No, now that brother of mine is a kind, fun-loving, and pretty entertaining man. He really is sweet to his wife and she will make for a wonderful sister-in-law.

Lindsay and Ryan have been together for 13 years. That is longer than Matt and I have even known each other. But, like Ryan's best man said, "It's not about time, it is the right time."

Their dog, Toby, was in the wedding. He walked down the aisle and even stood up with Ryan...and tried to get to them most of the ceremony. There is a whole lot of mutual love between them.

The ceremony took place in Lindsay's parents' backyard. CJ was pretty pleased to discover a swing.

However, Kate started pushing CJ on the swing BEFORE the ceremony and right after I took this photo CJ took a nose dive into the dirt. Of course.

Kate was a flower girl, along with Lindsay's niece. Kate took her job fairly seriously.

We arrived to the ceremony an hour early to start family pictures with Ryan and as you may have guessed little miss Natalie was getting awfully anxious to do something other than look pretty in a dress. So while we waited for the ceremony to begin I gave her a cup of Cheerios which she promptly spilled. Oh, did I mention Natalie and I were sitting in aisle seats? So when Toby the dog waltzed his way down the white carpet he had to stop for a little snack. Thankfully he quickly gobbled up Natalie's leftovers and moved on.

Like I said earlier, Kate took her job as flower girl seriously. She wisely rationed her rose petals to insure she'd have enough from start to finish however even great plans occasionally have flaws. Kate actually didn't toss all of her flowers before reaching the end of the white carpet so she dutifully dumped the entire basket where the bride would stand. There. Job complete.

After watching the father of the bride walk his daughter down the aisle Matt says to CJ, "someday I will get to walk you down the aisle for your wedding." And CJ says, "I'd rather walk with Kate." That's our CJ...she is not going to do as expected. She will do things her own darn way.

Natalie and her Cheerios.

My mom and Ryan dancing. Such a sweet photo.

Saturday was a great day. The wedding turned out near perfect. The weather was amazing.
There were tears, there was laughter and there was a whole lot of dancing.
We danced until our feet gave out.

Best wishes to my brother and his new bride!
