Reminiscing...

Five years ago yesterday Matt and I spent our last night out as a couple without kids. A short while later I would awake to labor pains, sneak out of bed to the computer and frantically research boy names. 21 painful hours later we were greeted with our sweet faced, baby girl who had herself a solid set of lungs and feet too large for the imprint paper.

Five years later we have an incredibly tall girl who loves math, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and can never get enough play time at the park.

She loves Scooby Doo, fairy chapter books, 'running' with Mom and watching goofy YouTube videos with Dad.

Kate is super competitive and wants to play every sport. At three years old she commanded I let go of her while swimming in the deep end of the pool. She proceeded to swim to the side on her own and later that day threw herself in a cannon ball position off the diving board 26 times.

Kate is bursting at the seams to begin Kindergarten and while we know she will flourish, her mom is going to miss having her around all day.

Kate is an adorable, kind-hearted 5 year old beauty and I am so very proud to call her mine.

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY, KATE!!
