First Day of School

Three and a half years ago all this little girl could manage was to eat, sleep and make messes.
Yet somehow over the course of those three and a half short years she grew up and became ready for preschool.

Today was the first day of school.
The first day of no longer being a little girl at home.
The first day as a big kid...a school age kid.

We are so proud of Kate!

She had a wonderful 2 hours of preschool this morning filled with a trip to the playground, a snack and story time.
Not too taxing or stressful, obviously.

The night before her first day of school however was not a relaxing one for her.
She started with preschool open house, followed by some ballet with CJ and lastly, refused to go to sleep until 10 p.m.  Sigh.

I snagged a few cute pics of my two ballerinas in the making.
It was enough pink to make your eyes hurt.  :)

Glad the first day went well! What did you do during your free time? Harlie and I got a doughnut and went on a walk while I got my oil changed. Any tears? : ) The balerina outfits are very cute.. and they match, two little sisters all dressed up.

No tears from anyone. In fact, Kate hung up her backpack and ran off to play. She didn't even look back to say goodbye or see if I was still there. I was invited to a mom's breakfast for those who were sending their kids off to school. It was great!

Cute ballerinas. The Princess backpack was our second choice. Everyone made it through day one of preschool!
Sounds like a very exciting day. Those little ballerinas are the cutest ever.
